Our dermatologists recommend following these practices to keep the scalp clean and healthy-
1. Wash hair on every alternate day, from root to tip.
2. Use a hair oil 1 hour before shampoo.
3. Use a conditioner if hair is frizzy.
4. Don't rub the hair vigorously, always gently pat dry.
If there’s dandruff even after these practices, one must consult a dermatologist. The doctor will check if it is normal (seasonal) dandruff or seborrheic dermatitis or psoriasis of scalp. After proper diagnosis, accordingly medication is suggested.
